Description

Dive in to the deep blue sea with your scuba gear and this is what you will see from above. This original abstract was inspired by the hundreds of dives I did on Australia's Great Barrier Reef and while it would be impossible to capture the true beauty of the coral reef, I believe I have given you a good look without getting wet. These locations are very remote and only accessible by a very long boat journey.

When you dive below a few fathoms, you lost most colors of the spectrum. Those that remain turn in to stunning blues and aquas and the colors dance with the few sun rays that penetrate the depths.

I created this painting with acrylic paints on canvas and added a texture by mixing sand and salt in with a medium to create the hard corals of the reef. All we are missing are fish and marine life. I hope you enjoy!
